A House Mouse Birthday Card for my Sister

When my younger sister popped over to visit me a couple of weeks ago I had a couple of my cards lying around waiting to be put away - my sister very rarely sees what I get up to as her internet service isn't great. It was lovely to hear her exclamations when she saw what I was doing with my time - I think she was impressed, that's always great to hear!!!!

Anyway - she is a bit of a nutter about anything "cute" so she fell in love with House Mouse stamps! So much so that I had her oohing and aaahing at the House Mouse Challenge Blog and telling me which new stamps I should get - just wish she'd offered to pay for them - LOL. She LOVED this stamp that I had so it was a natural choice for me to use it for her birthday card. I'd never inked it up before - it's size always made me a bit nervous! I was really happy with how it turned out - and so was she!! My mum lives with my sister so this was the first card of mine she'd seen in a LONG time - so I think I impressed her too! It's amazing how when you tell people you make cards their perception of what you are actually creating can be sooo different from the reality!

Those big House Mouse ones scare me too - never enough room to add stuff, just the image. But you did great. Your colour choice is nice.

Those large House Mouse stamps can be a bit intimidating, but yours turned out wonderfully well! Your sister should frame it and keep it for always!

I can relate to having family (and sometimes friends) who really have no clue what this hobby is all about. They sort of look at you like you're a bit odd when you try to explain. {LOL}

Only one more day for the non-raffle and we'll finally know the results of the funds raised and who wins those yummy prizes. I hope we are on that list!

Debbie, you have done a wonderful job of colouring this big image! I too am intimidated by the bigger stamps but as you notice, I have been known to cut off some of them at times LOL. Love your card!

You did a great job on coloring this stamp image Debbie! I love the mouse house stamps, but I do shy away from those really big ones. I love the flower you added, it's perfect. Who wouldn't love this card for their birthday? Do you have the Mouse-house catalogue? They just sent me one because I placed an order recently. There are so many cute stamps in it...so many stamps...so little money:)

Hi Deb,

I'm totally with Jean on her comment! I am far too intimidated by those big stamps to even try and colour them!

You have done fantastically - I'd be as proud as punch if I were you!

LOL...I have to laugh about your comment on people's perception of what card making is really all about...non-card makers just don't really get it until they see something IRL!
This is so adorable....I love House Mouse, but you shouldn't be tempting me like this...I'm trying to be good :) You've done an awesome job on the colouring and you should be THRILLED with how it turned out!
