Summer Hits The Stamp Spot

I can't believe Wednesday has come round again! Today is my day for posting my DT card for The Stamp Spot. Since the weather is heating up here in Melbourne I felt this Miss Anya was the perfect choice to ink up! I've added some black stickles on her sunglasses and cut her out with my nesties.

Once again I've used some of the challenge items Marcia popped into our DT kits. I really struggled with the large die cut behind my flower - it was just too flat for my liking!!! Soooo - after staring at it over the past few weeks I thought why not cuttlebug emboss it for some texture - I used the script folder! Much better!!! And then it just seemed easy to place - how funny that such a little thing can help the creative juices flow!

The fabulous DP is from Sassafrass Lass and comes with the beautiful faux stitched edging! Everything is available from The Stamp Spot Online Store with the exception of the punches I used for the sentiment and the flowers.

I love the exotic and Summery feel of this card - even my 11yo son gave this one the thumbs up - LOL

xXx

Great image Debbie and once again your colouring is excellent. Good idea to run the embellishment through the cuttlebug.

Debbie, she is so cute and the papers fit this card perfectly. Love the sunglasses! Seems weird that we are enjoying two different seasons, hard to get used to. We are gearing up for winter, but our fall has been extremely mild. Really cute card, and your son loved it, how cute!

Ur always full of great ideas Debbie. I never wld have thought of running a 'flat flower' thru my C'bug!!! She is definitely Summer personified and I think here in Syd...we now have ur heat wave....35 today!! she's lucky she can get away with wearing a skimpy skirt and thongs...some of us aren't that lucky...LOL!! Great card and FAB layout!!

Ooooh ... I have some Miss Anya stamps ... courtesy of my bad influence (Debbie P)!!! But ... can you believe it ... as much as I love them ... and couldn't resist buying them ... I just haven't even inked them up yet!!! Oh to have more time to stamp! Must do so soon.

The entire flower treatment is amazing! It just cracks me up to think you are headed into summer. I was overjoyed when it rained for about five minutes last night. We're actually having a "cold spell," if you can even call it that. Most would say it's downright balmy, but when I can wear a jacket, I'm thrilled!

Lots of love to you my dear friend,
L
