Keesh's Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #9

Last night I had a very quiet evening at home - my son was tucked up in bed, my daughter was out at her boyfriend's and my hubby was on a plane to Brussels! So I decided to sit in front of the TV and colour up some images - one thing led to another and by the time I went to bed I had completed Keesh's sketch challenge for the week! I really should have been sewing but had no motivation for it!

I love putting Whisper White, Kraft and Black together, and this DP is one of my faves! It is such a stylish combination! So after I coloured this image I thought it would be the perfect background for this elegant red flower from Bloomin' with Beauty. I have toled the petals of the flower and the leaves for added effect - all in all a very simple card, but I'm really happy with it!

And it was lovely to relax on a Sunday evening doing something I love!

xXx

Edit - have just realised my card is similar to Tracey's
in the colours and papers she's used for the challenge - I loved hers when I saw it but hadn't realised what an impact it had on me until I revisited her blog! I should call this a CASE of her wonderful card, just wish it wasn't for the same challenge - LOL!

I was just about to say that the flower looks like it just jumps off the page and then I read you toled it.
Still some pretty impressive colouring, that's a gorgeous card!

Oh, Debbie, this card is fabulous! Truly elegant. The flower just pops off the card... great idea to tole the petals and leaves... it kicks everything up a notch (or two or three)! Lovely, just lovely.

I'm glad you got to stamp a bit. I know sewing, especially under time pressure, can start to get to you after awhile. It's good to take breaks. I just hope your wrist is okay. Be careful! Or as Paul would say, Relax! :-)

Love and hugs my dear friend.

Hi Debbie,
your card is very elegant, I love the mix of papers and the flower is beautiful. I too feel guilty not to sew but its no good, if your hearts not in it. In the end it shows.

Love the tole effect.
The flower is quite different from Traceys though. We all get inspired by others.

Hey I really like this. That DP is great too, you've used it before and I admired it then (probably didnt tell you). Love what you've done for the flower and its leaves, tole + expert colouring makes for a lifelike and beautiful bloom.

Just might have to CASE your CASE.

Well even if it is a case card it is drop dead gorgeous!!!! I love the sketch and the way you have put it all together. You talented girl you! Sounds like you had a wonderful evening. We could all use more like those huh? And "yes" they do grow so fast. Alyssa hangs on to being a kid a little though because we just HAD to go into the American Girl store while there. Some things I guess you never outgrow. Check with ya later, Hugs from Texas, Dena
