Magnolia Down Under Challenge #12 - Flutter by Butterfly

I thought I would be using Miss Tilda for a butterfly based card but I couldn't resist this image of Edwin and his butterfly net! I made his little cheeks a little redder than normal because those cheeky butterflies have had him running around!! Once again I have used my aquapainter and water colour crayons to paint all the Magnolia images - the fence, the butterflies and Edwin. I love this medium but also enjoy playing with other mediums - seeing the differences makes life interesting.

I have used the Chocolate Chip inkpad to "thump" the background texture on - such a simple yet effective look, especially for boys.

On a side note - I have torn a tendon in my right shoulder and some of my friends laughed when I told them and believe I have "stamper's shoulder" - is there such a thing - I hope not - LOL!!! It's not going to stop me stamping - but the vacuuming is too hard at the moment, what a shame!!!!

Hoping all is well with you and that you can come along and join us at MDUC this week - or just pop in to see what the DT girls have done...

xXx

Oh' Debbie, I hope your shoulder heals quickly... NO FUN! For therapy all you can do is STAMP, “NO” house cleaning... prescribed by me!! He.. :)

Such a fun card with Edwin running after the butterfly. And the Nestie die is one of my FAV's... You did an awesome job coloring with the water colour crayons!! That medium is a challenge for me. Off to bed now, we had church tonight, but breakfast in town for a treat Sunday morning!! Can't wait... SMILES!! Get better soon... :)

Ouch!!! How the heck did you tear tendon in your shoulder? That sounds terribly painful and uncomfortable. Will it heal on its own?

Your card is darling. I consider you a master at water coloring. I hope Edwin catches on one of those beauties after all that exertion!

Take care of your sweet self. I will say prayers for a quick recovery.

Hugs and love,
Lisa

oh this is beautiful Debbie. I think I will have to use little Edwin too. Your card looks great. It will be hard not to copy the whole thing.

Hope your shoulder is doing better. Don't risk it buy doing any housework. Maybe you need at least a month off. He He. Wouldn't that be nice.

Beautiful Debbie. I love the colouring.

I have a difficult time with the watercolour crayons. Exactly how do you color with them? I'd love to hear your method.

Debbie, I love your scene card here. Fabulous. And your colouring is simply wonderful. I like the way you put one butterfly inside and one outside the frame. Great job.
