I've had this image sitting on my desk, all coloured up, for some time - just waiting to be inspired to put it together! I've really been struggling with my mojo and finding time lately for my stamping "therapy". I can't believe I was inspired by my 10yo old son's friend who did some stamping for his mum! This image is my friend Deb's who loves House Mouse! She kindly let me stamp it off and I sat colouring at the ice rink while our daughters trained. Unfortunately the rink lighting isn't the best but it's such a great opportunity to colour! Am thinking of dragging along a lamp next time!! This stamp appealed to both of us as our hubbys and kids - and OK us!!! - are often sitting at the computer for long periods at a time - although I've NEVER managed to be THIS bad - LOL! I've added a little Crystal Effects to the computer screen, the bear's nose and the coffee mugs which gives them a shiny dimension IRL.
These are the projects that inspired me to finish my card! Leigh is Deb's 10yo son and it looks to me that he has a real artistic flair! Deb is a librarian so this image really appealed to her - and what a great job Leigh has done with it!! Look at the details - the hand cut heart, the hand cut shaping of the main image, the torn paper inside and he's designed his own logo for the back!!!
Leigh also made Deb her very own HM bookmark with another of her images - once again he's hand coloured and cut the images by himself!! Deb came home from work to be presented with these by her proud son!! Think I'll have to show them to young Toby - do you think he'll take the hint ;)
I think I'll have to get young Leigh his own catalogue and some SU punches for his birthday - LOL
Great job Leigh - your mum is one lucky lady!!!

Lol! Hate to admit it but that image looks an awful lot like me sometimes too! Leigh's work is awesome-think you had better sign him up to your team right now!
Debbie, this house mouse is colored so perfectly. I have always found them difficult to color, but you obviously have mastered it. I think your mojo is back because this is so cute! Have a wonderful day! Dena
Hey Deb - this is just gorgeous! I can't wait to find time to sit and colour some house mouse stamps again!! Bring on June I say! lol

Your card is very cute and I think your little friend is an up & comer! I love his signature on the back! Too cute!
Hi Debbie! I feel like I've been gone for a long, long time instead of just a few weeks. I'm just getting caught up on my blogging and haven't started any cards yet. I had to come over and check out what you've been up to while I was out and about having fun with my sister. Love all the cards you've done in my absence! I even saw you passed another award on to me. Thanks a bunch! I have one I want to pass on to you too and hope to have it out on my blog by tomorrow. Back to your card. Love the mouse house image and you've colored just perfect! I know exactly how that bear feels:)) I enjoyed seeing Leigh's work too...very inspiring! Thanks for giving us a peek at that. Deb is a lucky Mom.
Leigh sure has a creative edge to these lovely projects!!! I love the images and sweet details for sure... Mum is one lucky lady!!
Now, your card is so fun! I love the computer mouse.. and the crystal effect for the 3-D look! I never have more that 1-2 cups sitting by my computer... usually the first cup is old and cold, too lazy to run it back up the kitchen.... LOL! Enough about my bad habits... hugs! Michelle :)
I love your card! The first thing I thought of is that's how I often feel at work in the afternoon. Ha! What do they say, "stick a fork in me, I'm done!" LOL
I've been so wiped out when I get home from work lately that I haven't stamped at all in days. My new TGF stamps came today and I couldn't even muster the mojo to get to them! Sigh. Hopefully we'll both snap back soon. Looks like you've got a good start here.
Thanks for sharing Leigh's creations. My own Avery has been secretly stamping with me for a couple of years, but then the older boys tease him about being Mommy's girl. Argh! But he still comes in and "colors" with me every now and then. So fun. I told him he could be the next Stampin Kub! But it looks like that will be Leigh. What talent!
Love and hugs. I'm off to bed.

Hi Debbie
How cute is this card! I think that's me a times having a late nite not infront of the computer but at my stamp desk. More than a few cups of tea later!

Love your card Deb it's a cute image and could aply to any one of us!! A bit worried about the 11 year olds ability - he's a threat!!!!!
You need to get yourself one of those book lights for when you're crafting out and about - I have one I use for sewing!!! Sue
Aaaawwww that's wonderful. My son used to do things like that too. Mmmmm not anymore. lol
Love your House Mouse card Debbie.
How cute is your card Debbie. I like this little mouse. And how clever is Leigh. It's great seeing the kid's enjoying the art. Especially boy's.
Love your card Debbie - it is such a cute image and definitely reminds me somewhat of my own crafting desk, lol!!! Leigh's work is quite inspiring for a 10 yr old! He has a great crafting future ahead of him!

Looks like Leigh has had a good teacher! Fun to see.
Thanks for the comment on my blog, appreciate it.
What a wonderful image...love how the edge is finished on the card. And Leigh's work is great...kids are always inspiring.
Love your image... I'm sure if I put a bed under my computer desk, some nights I'd just slide straight off the chair and into the sheets!! Lucky Deb... maybe her son would like to colour for me, I'm hopeless.
I've left you an award on my blog too. A little thankyou for all your encouragement
Debbie, this is so cute, I love the image, a bit like me sometimes... I think it's coloured to perfection,. Well done to Leigh too, fab card and only 10..

Wow Debbi, love your card - your shading is beautiful!! I wish oh wish I had time to make more cards [any type would make me happy right now] but I am packing to move so time is very scarce!! Yes we all lose our mojo at times - that is OK - it always returns!
Leigh's cards look just great - wonderful that he is so interested!!
Very cute Debbie, I love HM images. They colour up so beautifully.
Sounds like you need one of those battery powered OTT lites for at the rink! You get about 3hrs charge out of them! LOL.
Have a great weekend, looking forward to seeing the MDUC tomorrow.
:) Marcia P
adorable, your coloring is amazing....great work! *~*
Thanks Deb for posting Leigh's craft work. Leigh and I appreciate all the kind comments and so grateful to have such a good teacher.
Love, Deb
LOL... That bear is me at 4am in the morning.. LOL.. I just love this it is sooooooooo cute.. Bec xxx
Hi Debbie, I love the image! I have a big house mouse stamp that has so much detail on it that I find it hard to ink up and colour in (hubby has since found me some super smooth thick watercolour paper and it has made such a difference!) Well done ;) Inspiration comes from the strangest moments of time dont they?
