My First Card for Magnolia Down Under Challenges

Can you guess what the theme of our very first challenge is??? Kellie set this challenge and decided it should be Red, Tilda and Autumn. March 1st is the first day of Autumn here in Australia so the challenge is quite fitting.

I actually coloured up my Tilda with my Watercolour Crayons and Aquapainter to start with - but just couldn't get the depth of colour I wanted for the red. So out came my red marker and the red parts got a colour boost! I used a retired SU set called Trees Three to do the Autumnal background, using Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red for the leaves. I just LOVE being a member of this DT so I showed this off by using the Tilda holding the heart - which has Dazzling Diamonds all over it and looks fabo IRL.

Check out the Magnolia Down Under Challenge Blog to see what Kellie and Kristy got up to for this challenge - and hopefully you'll be inspired to play along too....

Hi Debbie,
Congrats on your first Magnolia Down Under Challenge card - Tilda looks so cute sitting on the park bench with the lovely Autumn trees in the background. Great job!
Hope you have a lot of fun designing with Kellie & Kristy.

Great job on your first DT assignment, Debbie! I love your trees in the background. It caught me off guard, though, given I immediately thought of autumn, then read that it's your autumn starting now and we are looking forward to spring. Actually, I'm still enjoying winter...the cool weather, that is. I hope this means some relief from the hot weather for you. What a difference the equator makes, eh?

Love from Lisa

Just adorable Debbie! I love Tilda as she is SO cute and fabulous coloring girl! It's hard to believe autumn is coming your way as we have spring starting in the states mid-March. Many miles apart, but close at heart!! Hugs... :)
