Katie's Card

This card all came about because I treated myself to Tilda's little pet cat - I just had to ink it up straight away! I was also having some quiet ME time while waiting for the kids to wake up - and it's waaaaayyyy too hot here to do anything silly like housework - even with the air con running - LOL. As usual I coloured my designs using my aquapainter and water colour crayons - I'm loving these! The layout "just happened" - the way soo many of mine do! Plan ahead you say! I do have an idea in mind when I sit - but things always change along the way.

As this card was taking shape I realised it was "the perfect" card for my niece Katie - although I'll have to remember I've done it when her birthday comes around in August!! I'm also hoping I remembered her age right - hmmmm!

Recipe:
SU CS - Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Ruby Red, Kraft
Stamps - from Magnolia Stamps and SU Short and Sweet
Ribbon - SU Choc Chip Grosgrain
Other Bits - Nestabilities, Cuttlebug - folders and Hippy Chick alpha

A darling card, Debbie! I love the way you have her sitting on the "ledge" of the oval. Brilliant!

Don't remind me about hot weather. I'm always so happy when we have a bit of cool weather since too many days here are sweltering. This winter has been really dry and warm, which doesn't bode well for the summer. They say it will be back up to 80 F later this week, which is not that hot, but too hot for winter! I agree, the best thing to do is forget about housework and stamp! {LOL}

Hi Debbie I just love how you put your cards together. I no how you remember make a card organiser and birthday book all in one. I am in the process of making one at the moment. That way you just slip your card in for the month and remember to check it of course!!!lol....

FABULOUS card!! :) Love this Tilda and her cute kitty!! I have this tilda, but not kitty--thinking I should get some pets for mine some day. :)

OK...I'm confused--you have 2 weather buttons over there and one says 35 and the other 109!! I gather from your post that it's 109 right now?! WOW. It was 1 degree here yesterday morning in Oregon, USA and we still have quite a bit of snow. Suppose to be back up to 40 by the end of week. We'll see?! Enjoy your stamp time.

Another cutie Debbie - I agree with Lisa's comment - love the way you've positioned Tilda sitting on the edge!
The cat of course is so cute too - you know me and cats! Love this design - great job.

This card is adorable Debbie. Love the Tilda stamp. I don't own any myself...but you've pretty much convinced me I should ;-).

Hope you can stay cool this weekend, and that those fires are nowhere near you!

Best wishes,
Sam.
