Over the past few weeks I have been reading the Game of Thrones saga and when I saw this image by Mo Manning I immediately thought she could be Cersei Lannister - one of the novels main characters. So even though her name is Elf Queen (Bride) and based on a character from Lord of the Rings, I decided to go with my first instinct and turn her into a medieval queen with golden hair. To those who have seen the series that was created from the books I apologise if she doesn't look like the character there - but I haven't seen any of the episodes so am not influenced by it.
I thought this DP from MME (A beautiful life) fit the medieval them beautifully with the background almost looking like a tapestry. The gold braid I found in my stash was a perfect fit too. Some flicks of gold spica on her gown and gold stickles in my layout add a regal touch.
Copics Used - Skin (E21, E13, E11, E000, R20, R11) plus YG67, YG63, YG61, G20, Y19, Y13, Y00, E08, R27, R08, Y09, V06, gold spica

Oh goodness, that's just how I imagine Cersei! (Gotta admit, I loathe her in the books! My faves are Arya and Tyrion!) You're so right about the dp, it looks just like a tapestry! Beautiful card!

Ok....I am not a sci-fi chick but I think you are referring to Cate Blanchett's character yes??? So I think I am up on that ref. However...you know me Debbie and the 1st thing that I got out of it was the "very bent" Mel Brooks ref...I's good to be the King...or in this case Queen (fm History of the World Pt I!!!! I had a good giggle.
Your card (on a serious note) is delish...it is so rich and brocadey (if such a word exists)!! She is regal and demure....gorjus!!. ooxx
There is a definite regal sense to this card, Debbie. Haven't heard of the books or the series but can imagine the era! Gorgeous! Hugs xxx
