Look Ma - No Colouring!

Today I have something a little different for you - a 3D Christmas Tree kit designed by Scrapmatts - where I have the honour of being their Guest DT. The kit comes with a solid and cut out tree sitting on a 2-tier base with a sentiment - FABULOUS! I covered the background tree with Christmas music paper and then stuck it to the detailed wooden piece. Some cut outs from a Christmas Paper pad from Meg's Garden were added as well as some more Scrapmatts chipboard, texture paste snow and 3D flowers. I "borrowed" the idea of adding the Santa and sleigh after seeing Scrapmatts DT member Angella Peardon's tree and loving the whimsy. The Snowtex paste adds some strength to the overhanging parts.

Here is a close up of the base - I painted the wooden doily edges with gold and added a piece of designer paper on top and then glued it all together. I added more gold paint to the tree pot, the clock and star I glued on to tie everything together. The star on top of the tree got the gold glitter treatment. This was such a fun project to make
