This week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we are getting into the festive spirit and our challenge is "Christmas". Is it ever too early to ink up those Christmas stamps and start building your stash?!?!?!
I decided to kick my Christmas card making off with non-traditional colours. I had this gorgeos Magnolia DP in my stash and that was my starting point. After I punched the pink lace panel I thought it was a little bright - so I overlaid a sheer white ribbon over the top to tone it down - it does have polka dots on but if you use your imagination they could be snowballs - LOL. I made a bow from the same ribbon to hang my Christmas tree charm from. I love the mini world Magnolias - you can mix them with full sized elements for some fun.
Now I admit it took me a bit to get into the Christmas mood - resorting to getting my fellow DT members to "sing" me Christmas Carols via email - I even learnt a new one in Swedish - LOL.
Here's hoping the MDUC DT manage to help get you in the mood to create for Christmas too - you can check out their AMAZING inspiration at our blog HERE.

See, you rock at this amazing hobby! You pulled it off and made such a gorgoues looking pink and blue (my fav colorcombo! ;)) card! Love it that you showcased a mini too :) Beautiful coloring and lot´s of fabby detail. So starting off with the paper can be a success..I´ll have to try that sometime ;)

Stunning card Debby.
Love the soft colours.
Wowzers Debbie, this is just stunning colours for a Chrissy card and of course once again you have created a perfect card with such fab extras. I wish u lived closer so I could come and play. By the way I always choose papers first then I colour, when I first started I colored first and had so much trouble matching up papers that it left me frustrated at times, ok.....all the time, lol, xxxx
