My House

I have been such a BAD blogger lately and for that I must apologise. I really miss visiting other blogs but this time of year things just get a little crazy. It's also the end of the school year on Friday as we head into our Summer holidays. It's a big event in my house this year with my son heading off to High School in February. We have class parties and gradution to get through this week!
I've been missing playing in my craft room too - but I have been getting my home ready for Christmas so thought I'd share a few pictures with you. As it IS Summer here I decided to clean out my fireplace and use it too. Although the weather turned nasty the other day and my hubby mentioned an open fire - grrrrrrr. Several of the pieces in and around the fire were made by yours truly - I think my hubby wonders WHY I keep on making things for Christmas but I just LOVE it!!! Most of these and the 2 wall hangings were made in my life before papercrafting though - LOL. I have other things tucked all over the house - it's a massive job getting the house ready - sometimes I wish it was JUST a tree - oh OK - not really ; )
My present shopping is almost done - most of my cards are on their way and my pantry is starting to fill with all the fixin's for our family dinner. Now just to get all the presents out of their hidey holes and wrapped! Phew - life will start settling a bit now and I hope to pop around some blogs for a visit!

xXx

Hey Deb, everything looks gorgeous. It's all worthwhile when you get it up and it looks so nice, but I feel your pain, just not enough time in the day to do it all. Christmas only omes once a year, so enjoy it, blogging will be there after the holidays.

Hugs
Sue

Thanks for sharing all your gorgeous creations! You home looks like it is full of love and happiness. Wow! You are so clever ... and like you I have several items made pre paper crafting days! My girls love to dress the house ... and it is nice to have help doing it! It is well worth the effort Debbie! It's gorgeous! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MY WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS CARD!!! YOU ARE SO WONDERFUL ... AND IT IS DEFINITELY MY FAVOURITE (SO FAR!) I LOVE IT! I feel very spoilt and very special ... because your card is simply divine. I had to show my dh all the gorgeous details ... and he was suitably impressed, too! (As was my mum!) So thank you thank you thank you! I am ashamed to say that I am blog hopping tonight instead of addressing my cards. I haven't sent out any yet! I am very slack! They are all ready to go ... but just need envelopes & addresses! Keep watching your mailbox! BIG HUGS to a special Christmas angel! xxaxx

You've got some gorgeous stuff there...but I still can't wrap my head around it being summer at Christmas time! LOL!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately, either. My daughter was caught in a blizzard and stranded out on the highway (along with about 500 others) for 30 hours. Yup 30. Overnight...in below freezing temps. Scary. She's home safe now. Thank God.

Hi Debbie,

Merry Christmas I feel so bad this year I haven't sent cards out to many people this year and it is only because I have been so busy with my study that all my crafting time is non existant. Know that I am thinking of you at Christmas and I hope you have a joyous Christmas. Love your christmas house it is so festive. thanks for sharing. talk to you soon. Hope to be back in the swing of things in the new year 2011.
