Butternut Sage Contest

As I mentioned yesterday my lovely friend Donna over at Butternut Sage Designs has an amazing blog candy contest going! I have enjoyed Donna's Stampin' Up creations from the very beginning of my stamping journey. Her creations are always stylish and inspiring - and she loves a bit of dry embossing too - a gal after my own heart! Donna often has some fun and whimsical elements to her cards too - make sure you spend some time scrolling through her blog if you visit! And her bows - WOW - it almost makes me wish I did bows more often - LOL.

I've gone back to my SU roots for this card - to further honour Donna's dedication to these wonderful products. I've used my "God's Beauty" stamp set and the sentiment is from SU's "Sincere Salutations". I was going to pop a bow on somewhere - but couldn't figure out where - LOL. It's really hard to emulate someone else's style - especially one so different to mine! I sooo felt the need to layer on some flowers, leaves etc! I hope I've captured Donna's style OK - but as always - the original is ALWAYS the best!!!!

xXx

good morning Debbie, I am loving your card and it didn't even need a bow!!!The best surprise was the surprise of those leaf circles and the stamp set you used.
When Stampin'Up retires their sets I always sell them off but I have three that I have held on to and this one is my favorite! I simply love love love that butterfly! Thank you so much for picking green, my favorite stamp set and making the most gorgeous card. I am going to case this beauty for a class. Thanks again and best of luck in the drawing. p.s. thanks too for the kind sweet words that you posted about my blog. I love you Ms. Downunder....hugs~Donna
