A Special Image from Teddy Bo

When I saw this freebie being offered in the Teddy Bo Facebook group I knew it would be fun to colour up. I also loved that they catered for both the English spelling "Mum" and the US version "Mom". One thing I like to do when I do request a freebie is to try and make sure I use it - this wasn't always the case I admit!!! But I think the artist is making an incredible offer to us crafters and by actually using the image it's the best way of saying THANK YOU.

Gems and Pearls in La-La Land

This week in La-La Land we are using gems and/or pearls on our projects. My mind went straight to the oyster shell image when I started thinking about this challenge, and of course that means a mermaid and a large pearl! The rest just came together, I enjoy doing more CAS cards occasionally, and yet even though I think of this as CAS, it still has a lot of interest. I hope you like it.

Aurora Wings Challenge #48

It's time for another challenge at Aurora wings and this time it's a favourite......

Image may contain: 3 people, text

This month I've used the gorgeous Sakura Fubuki Urei. Now I know she's supposed to be in a storm of delicate pink cherry blossom petals, but since it's Autumn here in Australia, I turned her into more of an Autumnal image using a digi designer paper with windy swirls and snowflakes to print her on. I also turned the petals into small falling leaves. It's amazing how the use of colour can change the whole feel of an image.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the AMAZING DT inspiration on our BLOGWe also have a very active Facebook Fan Group with additional contests, challenges and inspiration.  We hope to see you there.

Photo Inspiration in La-La Land

This week in La-La Land we are using the gorgeous photo on the left for inspiration. I do tend to use strong, bold colour palettes over pastels but it was a lot of fun to challenge myself with this one.                                                                                                                                                                                                     Don't forget to pop over to our BLOG where you can check out inspiration from my amazing teamies and remember La-La Land Crafts also have a Facebook Page HERE and La-La Lands Facebook Group HERE. Bloobel Stamps Progressive Challenge - April

It's time for the next installment of Bloobel Stamps progressive challenge. This month we had a choice of different images to use with the theme being....

Flower Garden

You can find the selection of images to use HERE. The image I chose is called Flower and she's such an adorably quirky little character. I printed her onto some digi designer paper before colouring her in.

Simply Betty Progressive Challenge - April

It's time for the next instalment of the Simply Betty Stamps' 2017 Progressive Challenge. This month we were given the gorgeous 20's Charlotte to use

The challenge is to use this recipe on our projects....

1. Must use the image and Sentiment
2. Must have at least one designer paper
3. Must add feathers (not printed paper with feathers must be embellishments; actual feathers, die cut feathers, chipboard feathers, sticker feathers all ok).
4. Must add pearls (not printed paper with pearls must be embellishments).

I had so much fun with this. It's a little hard to see but not only do I have a die cut feather, I have also added a real white feather behind the printed one in her headpiece, it adds such a beautiful softness to the design.

It's Spring/Easter in La-La Land

This week in La-La Land we are celebrating Spring and/or Easter. Given it's actually Autumn in my part of the world my card may not feel particularly Spring-like, but I have used a few new products from the Spring Release so I am justifying myself that way ;)

The scene behind Marci is a loose piece that is sitting in the pocket, this can be removed to hide a secret message behind - such a fun idea

La-La Land Spring Release Showcase - Day 2

It's Day 2 of the Spring Release from La-La and today I'm using the Mini Frenchies. Years ago I created a card for La-La Land called "How Much is that Doggy int the Window" using the now retired set of Tuffy the Dog - this is my re-do of that - and this time I even had a window to pop them behind. I cut the window through both layers of the card front and lined the cut out inside and out with a die cut window. "The Boy" are sitting on the window's shelf on the inside of the card. This gives great depth to the card front and makes it feel you really are peering through the window at them.

Check out the La-La Land Blog post HERE for a special introductory offer on these new products.

An Engagement Card for a Friend

A couple of weeks ago I had the great pleasure of helping a good friend's daughter celebrate her engagement. We had a truly wonderful evening with the happy couple, their families and friends.

Congratulations Nicole and Darren

This is the card I made for them - using an image from my stash from Spesch Stamps. The card was cut using my Cameo and you can find the shape in the Silhouette Store. The papers are digital papers from Bearly Mine Designs. It's so sad both Spesch Stamps and BMD are no longer available - but it was fun to use them again.
