Using Kraft in La-La Land

This week in La-La Land we are using Kraft card in our projects. Kraft adds such a rustic feel to any project and I love mixing it with crisp white and texture. I also think the Paper Doll range works so well with Kraft and this cutie means I can tick another Christmas card off of my to do list :)

Stitching in La-La Land

This week I've made a Parcel Card based on my teamie Jenny's tutorial HERE. I have been wanting to make one for some time but I was "forced" into action when one of our lovely La-La Land followers messaged me asking if I knew how to convert Jenny's tutorial from cm to inches. Of course I HAD to make sure it all worked out for her so I ended up with the card base and little box sitting on my desk waiting for some lovin' ....

It's a bit hard to see the stitching here but I've used the Double Stitched Hills and then layered on a Stitched Ribbon along the bottom to neaten the cut edge. I do love stitched dies and that textural element they give. I'm also enjoying creating texture with my copics - little crosses and dashes have been done across her coat and hat to give them a thick woolly feel.

Here are the measurements in inches if anyone else would like them.....but please note - I did take off one inch on the left side of my card here - the measurements below follow Jenny's original directions.

Anything Goes in La-La Land

This week in La-La Land the team get to create anything they like :) I enjoy making box cards, love Christmas, and we've just had our Christmas release at La-La Land, so I put all of these elements together. Along with the silver, pink and blue, I wish you could see all the sparkle going on here - it's really very festive.

Blue and White in La-La Land

Oopsie - forgot to hit the publish button on this one - LOL

This week in La-La Land we are using Blue and White to create with. I love the crispness of white with soft blues. To create the texture on her nightgown and slippers I drew small squiggles all over - starting with the lightest blue and adding the darker blues to add shadows. I finished off with some white squiggles. It was a fun technique to play with.
