A Baby Card for Mia

Yesterday I got to meet my gorgeous new Great-Niece Mia. She is just the most adorable little thing - when I look at my "baby" who now towers above me now it's hard to believe he was ever close to being that small. They really do grow so fast!

To celebrate the early arrival of Miss Mia I used this adorable New Baby image from Wee Stamps. I also used the Martha Stewart alpha mold and a baby feet mold I have with some paper clay - I LOVE how much fun this stuff is to use and the dimension it gives. I was also grateful they hadn't chosen a much longer name ;)

A Dragon Baby Card in a Box

Recently my London based daughter asked me to create a couple of baby cards for an expectant family member in the UK. This was the first of the 2 cards and my daughter specifically requested this cute image - she remembered him from when I worked with Spesch Stamps - his name is Draggy. This is one of the very first Sylia Zet (now Wee Stamps) digis I owned!

I have recently discovered this Card in a Box fold and LOVE them - they have such depth and are such fun with the acetate strips letting butterflies and sentiments flutter in the breeze.
They are designed to fold down flat for postage and there is room on the back panel for a personal message too - or you could pop one under one of the fold down flaps. I hope the new parents like it :)
All of the dies used in my project are from La-La Land Crafts.

Wee Stamps Wedding Card

I've had a lovely break over the Christmas period - I even managed to tidy up and find my crafting desk again. There is still much to organise in my craftroom but it was a joy to create in a space that was more than 5"x 5" square for a change - LOL.

I think it's quite apt that I'm starting off the New Year with a wedding card. Weddings are all about new beginnings after all. This one was requested by my daughter for relatives. She's currently living in London with family and I was only too happy to make her a card for the wedding coming up in the extended family there. The gorgeous image is from Wee Stamps and is called Love Me Do. The DP is designed by my friend Denise Boddey and is available from Meg's Garden - this is the Romantic Garden paper pack.

I have a lot of digital stamps I have collected but I rarely get a chance to play with ones outside of my DT commitments - so it was a LOT of fun colouring these cuties up for a change. It was also nice to be asked by my family to create something special - it gets quite frustrating when I'm out with my sister and she says she needs to BUY a card for someone....she forgets to ask me if I have anything suitable in the boxloads I have at home - LOL.

Copics Used - Skin {E11, E00, E000, R20, R11} plus B0000, V000, E53, E49, E47, E44, E39, 100, C8, C6, C5, C4, C2, C0, YG45, YG25, YG21, Y19, R59, R24

Seeing Circles with Sketch Saturday

I was a little thrown when I saw this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday but I finally figured out how to fit my main image into a small circle - I left most of it hanging out the bottom - LOL. This is another of the gorgeous new images from Wee Stamps - Autumn Happiness - very appropriate for us here in the Southern Hemisphere as the trees are starting to drop their leaves and the air has a little it of a chill to it in the mornings!

Playing with Wee Stamps and Friday Sketchers

When I was on the DT for Spesch Stamps I was rapt when owner Tracey found a wonderful new artist to design for her called Sylvia Zet - her images are super cute and I loved working with them. Recently Sylvia has ventured out on her own and started up Wee Stamps. This is the first one I've coloured up and popped onto a card - but I do have others waiting patiently for their turn - LOL. This cutie is called Sweet Blossom - isn't it ADORABLE!!!

I've used this week's Friday Sketchers sketch and my DP is from Stampin' Up - but it's probably retired by now - I found it at the bottom of the drawer - LOL.
