Tickled Pink Stamps Merry Christmas Blog Hop

It's release day over at Tickled Pink Stamps for our new sentiment set and matching die so we are hop hop hopping along to celebrate. There are hidden candies and prizes along the way too - so enjoy and GOOD LUCK!! You should have arrived here from Amy's blog but if you haven't you can head back to the start at Ann's blog - our wonderful sentiment designer! The full blog list will be on the Tickled Pink Stamps blog if you get lost along the way....

I used the frame stamp and the die to create some "placecards" for my Christmas table - as you can see they are actually little chairs and I still have a few to finish off. The seat is actually a box measuring approx 2"x2"x2" and will be used to hide some Christmas chocolates in. The names were generated on my computer and the poinsettia was cut using my Magnolia doohickey die. The DP is Basic Grey's Jovial range.

I have to thank my dear friend Deb A for this fabulous idea (yup another Debbie and why I'm known as Debbie P - LOL). Her daughter works at a wedding venue and she often brings home the left over favour boxes - this chair was one of those and Deb brought it around to show me. I've drafted it out in my Craft Robo (Silhouette) software and got my craft robo to do all the cutting for me. If anyone would like the GSD cutting file please email me and I'll send it on. I have also drawn out the pattern if anyone would like a printable version - again just email me.

These were soo fun and simple to make - am trying to work out some other variations - maybe having Santa sitting on the chair?!?!?!

Now it's time to keep on hopping - your next stop is Jane's blog.

Formal Luka From La-La Land Crafts

I love this little guy from La-La Land Crafts - this is Formal Luka and he could be used for sooo many different occasions - for example graduation, a new job, birthday, Christmas. I've left this pretty open as my sentiment is non specific. The DPs are from Basic Grey's Jovial paper pad but the ones I've used aren't just for Christmas and work really well here - I just loved the brightness of the tartan with Luka's suit and tie.

Formal Luka and Fancy Marci are available as digis for only a limited time - once the rubber is instore they'll be gone as digis - check them out HERE!

I used last week's Sketch Saturday sketch #130 and rotated it - I know it's too late to enter it there this time, but the sketch was too great NOT to use.
If you love these cuties from LLLCs then make sure you check out the DT blog HERE - a new creation is uploaded daily to delight and inspire you!

Mo's Little Drummer Boy and a DT Call

Isn't this little guy and his canine friend adorable!??!?! He's one of Mo's newer images called "Shall I Play For You?" and he's available HERE. As you can see I used some of the lyrics from the song for my sentiment - I know it should say "him" but here I'm borrowing Mo's artistic licence - LOL. My DP is Basic Grey's Jovial collection and the snowflakes were punched using my Martha Stewart border punch.

The other news I have is that YOU have a chance of joining me and the rest of Mo's Dream Team - we have a DT call going on RIGHT NOW over at the Dream Team Blog - check out all the details HERE. This is SUCH a fun team to be on - so why not give it a go if you love Mo's images as much as I do!?!?!

Tickled Pink Stamps Sentiments Release Preview Day 1

Today is the first day of previews for Tickled Pink Stamps new Sentiment Set and we have a new addition to our range - the matching DIE - woohooo we're all sooo excited by this next step Kellie has taken! Over the next 3 days the TPS DT will be bringing you some fabulous inspiration with this set - so pop over to our blog HERE and check it all out - and knowing Kellie there will be prizes on offer for you to check out too.

Release day is Sunday, 28th November and we'll be showcasing this set in a team blog hop - so hope to see you there....

For my card I wanted the sentiment to be the star of the show - so I used the die to cut the frame out and used "Naughty or Nice" as the wording. I used my copics to add in some shading and then used the cracked glass technique to give it a bit more of a lift. I also used my Magnolia poinsettia and mistletoe dies to make some simple embellishments. The DP is from Basic Grey - their Figgy range from last year.

A Boy's Birthday Card

With a young son and nephew I often have the need for boy's birthday cards and when I saw this image by Just INKlined I knew it would fit the bill. This cutie is called James Brum and can be found HERE.

I used a racing flag picture I found as the background - I just printed it off the right size. My metal plate cuttlebug embossing folder nearly always comes out when cars are involved - LOL. A set of keys charm tied to the the ribbon finishes off the automotive theme nicely. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #73 - A Sketch

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we have a fabulous sketch for you from our former teamie Chantelle. I've had a sneak peek at what the rest of the DT have come up with and once again I find it amazing how one little sketch can inspire so much diversity and I can't wait to see what our entrants do with it!!! I've been making mainly Christmas cards lately so decided to celebrate our beautiful Melbourne Spring weather instead for this card.

Now I think I may have gone a little overboard with the size of my butterfly, but I bought this die a while ago and have been waiting to use it. When I saw the butterfly on the sketch my mind went into overdrive and out came the die. Because it's so big I cut it in a neutral colour and just used some Glimmer mist on it. It's lacy wings don't hide too much of the background so I think it works.

The DP is Websters and the sentiment is a digi ticket from Bizzy Becs Digi Downloads.

Edit - I have been asked who makes the butterfly die - I have tracked it down and it's a Marianne D Creatable Die (Butterfly no.2) - I have found one UK listing for it HERE.

Fancy Marci Celebrates Christmas

Last week saw the release of 2 new images from La-La land Crafts - this is one of them. This is Fancy Marci and she's all dressed up to celebrate Christmas here. She is such a dream to colour up and looks adorable in many different colour combos - I just love her cute little pose.

My DP is from Basic Grey and I cut the poinsettia flowers using a My Time Made Easy template and my craft robo. I downsized the template so I didn't use all the layers.

Fancy Marci is available for a limited time only as a digi before she comes out in rubber - check her out HERE.

A Little Bit of Candy!

CANDY IS NOW CLOSED - CHECK ON THE TOP OF MY RIGHT SIDEBAR FOR THE WINNER.....

The gorgeous Kellie from Tickled Pink Stamps is one of the most generous people I know. Last week I got an envelope in the mail and inside was a rubber stamp and a little note "Please use as a give away in November". Well now is the time to offer this cutie called Birthday Cherrie up for adoption. I'm also using it as an apology for being a little tardy in visiting my blogging friends - I have been needing some time away from the computer to recharge my batteries and reboot my enthusiasm. I'm hoping to catch up with you all soon!!!

Now how can YOU have a chance to win???? Just pop your name in Mr.Linky below - if I can get him working - LOL. If he's not there just leave me a comment. That's ALL! I'll pick a winner using random.org on Saturday, 27th November AEST.

Good Luck!

Daisy Plays Some Mood Music

Little Daisy Bumblethorpe and her dog Watson are obviously enjoying performing a little concert together - although from the lack of audience one must wonder how good they really are, or maybe this is just the rehearsal - LOL. This image is called "Mood Music" and is available from Just INKlined digital stamps HERE.

I used this week's Sketch Saturday sketch #129 and created the corners with my Martha Stewart deep edge lattice punch. The sentiment is a digi ticket from Bizzy Bec's Digi Downloads. You can't see it but I coated Daisy's saxophone with my clear spica pen for a metallic shine.

This image brings back memories of when my daughter learned the saxophone - although our dog Holly didn't hang around to join in when she played - LOL.

La-La Land Crafts ONE DAY SALE

Nov. 19th only!! 20% off on all Marci, Luka and panda rubber stamps. Digis are excluded.

I want to let you know that this Friday (November 19th) La-La Land Crafts will be having a "Friday before Black Friday" 20 % OFF sale on ALL Marci and Luka Collection stamps, including panda and the new sets (*digis are excluded). Sale price will not be visible on the website, but will be reflected in the customers' Shopping Cart.

REMEMBER this is in the US - so check your times - it's ALL day from midnight to midnight Friday PST (Los Angeles).
For those of you unfamiliar with Black Friday it's the discount shopping day that follows American Thanksgiving, which is always on a Thursday. Retailers promote Black Friday as the day to start shopping for Christmas. Black Friday is often advertised with "Christmas Sales" as well as "Thanksgiving Sales."

The word "black" in Black Friday refers to the term "in the black" meaning making a profit. Today, Black Friday is not a crucial source of profit to retailers, but is important in driving traffic into stores. Many retailers mail special Black Friday circulars to consumers, announcing deeply discounted items in the hopes that consumers will visit their store on Black Friday.

Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop

I love the 3rd Thursday of the month - it's when Mo's Dream Team comes together for a themed hop. You should have have arrived here from the delightful Peri's blog but if you didn't you can head back to this month's hostess with the mostest, the fabulous Jak and she's asked us to Distress!

I chose one of Mo's gorgeous Christmas images - Pammy's Stocking - available HERE. And if you love this image and don't have the time or inclination to colour your own, then Mo has a gorgeous pre-coloured version for you HERE.

I started my distressing by cutting off poor Pammy's legs so she would fit into my "frame". I inked most of my edges with chalk inks as well as distressing the main image with my distressing tool. I used some glimmer mist on the base layer of the frame and the white roses to add a nice metallic patina. My last piece of distressing was to some fabric circles - my heat tool was used to curl the edges to create the main flower.

My DPs are from Memory Box and the pennant was cut using my Whiff of Joy die. The letters were cut using a Cuttlebug alphabet.

Your next gorgeously distressing stop on the hop is the fabulous Dorcas' blog. And here's the full hop list if you get lost along the way - you can find their blog links on my left sidebar under Mo's banner.

Jak, Peri, Debbie, Dorcas, Mina, Arielle, Lori, Kerttu

Mo's North Pole Empolyee #3355

Last week I showed you one of Mo's gorgeous North Pole Employees - check him out HERE. This week I have his colleague - the super cute employee #3355 who is shining up the Christmas decorations ready for the BIG DAY! These guys are a set of 2 and can be found in Mo's store HERE.

Since these 2 guys are a set I decided to use DP from the same paper pad from Basic Grey. I also used the same layout - they look soo cute sitting on my bookcase together - a pigeon pair as my mum would say - LOL.

Harry Potter Comes to Spesch Stamps

When I was a member of the Spesch Designer Stamps DT there was some friendly rivalry between the Twilight and Harry Potter fans. I'm definately on the side of the HP fans having read all the books and I'm currently re-living ALL the previous movies on DVD prior to seeing the latest instalment when it's released in Australia this Thursday - and YUP - I already have my tickets booked - LOL.

So when Tracey from Spesch Stamps emailed me asking if I'd like to be her GDT for her Harry Potter release how could I say no?!?!?!

Here I've merged all three main characters into one scene - there is also a stamp with the group already together! These guys have their wands at the ready - and if you look closely you can see there are sparks (glitter) starting to fly at their tips - they must sense trouble ahead - or is it just Draco Malfoy?!?!?! I used my Tim Holtz brick wall die and some chalk inks to create the wall entrance to Diagon Alley. And to show what a true HP tragic I really am - I used the HP alphabet stickers I already had in my stash - LOL.

The spider was cut using my craft robo and glittered up.

You're a Star

Each year my daughter gives her figure skating coach a gift at Christmas time - usually a box of chocolates. This year she'll be getting some home baked goodies in this gift box I made using one of Lauren Meader's My Time Made Easy Template's. This one is called Star of the Show. These are sooo easy to put together and with Lauren providing the templates in a variety of cut files they are super easy too. I used my Craft Robo to cut out the pieces with more precision and less time than if I had hand cut them! The box is 2" deep so there's plenty of room for some goodies.

As soon as I saw Skater Marci from La-La Land Crafts I knew I would HAVE to have her. With a daughter who figure skates this cutie will be getting a work out I'm sure. Here I've popped her onto the box tag which was cut using my new PTI dies and sentiment stamps. And there's plenty of room on the back for a personal message!

I am sooo loving working with these adorable images - they are sooo easy to colour and soo versatile too!

We hope you've enjoyed meeting our new friends because we've been tickled pink to introduce them to you!

Winter Fun with Just INKlined

Don't you just LOVE this guy - he's having a BLAST and just screamed bright colours to me - LOL. He's from Just INKlined and is called Snowman Skiing - available HERE.

I could just imagine him in this scene - with the mountains and ski village in the background - courtesy of Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses range. I've bowed the icicle strip along the top for some added dimension - my uber talented friend Nancy does this a LOT and I love the look it gives her work! I also added heaps of snowflakes for some extra fun and sparkle - and because I like them - LOL. The sentiment is a sticker.

A Couple of Special Wedding Cards

At the start of the month my nephew got married and I really wanted to make him and his lovely bride a very special card. The bridesmaids were wearing lavender so that a place to start. And then I saw the second card in THIS post by Dena from Dena's Stamping Corner - and just knew it was the card I wanted to CASE. Dena is an amazingly talented crafter - and a lovely lady to boot - so make sure you pop in and say hi and check out her AMAZING eye candy! Thanx soo much for the inspiration Dena.

My image is from Lily of the Valley and the textured background paper is by Cristina Re.

The bride and groom...Congratulations Simon and Beth
Me and the kids - unfortunately DH was away on a business trip and my son Toby has a thing about having his picture taken!!!

A week later my TPS and MDUC teamie Fran got married and this is the card I made for her and her handsome groom.

I knew I wanted to start with Marie Antoinette from Kraftin' Kimmi because Fran had mentioned that HER dress was similar - now all I needed was a groom. I decided on Kraftin' Kimmie's dapper dude Chester - which the gorgeous Kellie from Tickled Pink Stamps ordered in especially for me - luckily I gave her PLENTY of notice - and don't they make a FABULOUS couple!!!! The happy couple have gorgeous twin boys and I just couldn't leave them out - so I used Owie from CC Designs and stamped him twice - even though Fran's boys aren't identical twins I figured she'd forgive me for making them appear to be. I popped "Dallas" and "Levi" on the inside of the card all ready to pop out and say BOO.

Wishing Simon and Beth - AND - Fran and Glenn all the VERY best for a long and happy life together!

Christmas Willow from Tickled Pink Stamps

It's day 3 of previews for these gorgeous Christmas Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads from Tickled Pink Stamps - if you've missed out on seeing the first 2 images check them out over at the Tickled Pink Stamps blog HERE - and check out how YOU can have a chance of winning one for yourself while you are there! There are 3 more previews to come followed by the release on November 14th - so there's a heap of fun heading your way!!!

This is the gorgeous Willow - she's always been one of my favourite Lolitas! She's looking gorgeous in her candy cane outfit. Unfortunately the candy canes on her outfit and on the tree look a little dull here - but IRL they are covered with glitter so sparkle beautifully! And I've added stickles to the white borders for even more bling!

The DP is from my new seasonal favourite - Basic Grey's Jovial range. I've used my MS pine leaf border punch and some "candy cane" ribbon for some interest. The sentiment is a sneak peek at something coming soon to TPS - so watch this space - LOL.

This little guy is one of a set of two North Pole Employees - recent releases from Mo Manning. This one is #5533 and you can check out him and his friend, employee #3355 in Mo's store HERE. I just love his chubby cheeks and he was an absolute dream to colour up. I'm sure you'll be seeing Employee #3355 here sometime soon too - he's just as adorable - LOL.

My DP is from Basic Grey and added just the right fun touch to this cutie. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Sketch Challenge #7

Kellie has another fabulous sketch for us this month at Tickled Pink Stamps Monthly Challenges - and you can see she's liking the long and skinny style of cards at the moment. Unfortunately I'm a lover of the square card - so I included the sketch within my card - can you see it??? - it's standing on end. Sorry Kellie - you didn't get me to do a long card this time - LOL.

I used one of my Christmas Magnolia's that I bought from Tickled Pink Stamps. The DP is from the gorgeous Basic Grey Jovial paper pad. The little reindeer is from Stampin' Up.

Don't forget you have a whole month to enter and you can check out what the rest of the Tickled Pink Stamps DT have come up with to inspire you HERE.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #71 - Make Your Own Embellishments

This week our challenge at Magnolia Down Under Challenges is to make your own embellishments. You can add in some bought embellishments too but we'd like to see some hand-made embellishments too. I based my entire card around the little bird's nest. Recently I found THIS amazing tutorial from Cathe Holden at Just Something I Made while blog surfing and the next time I was out shopping I was buying beads and wire - LOL. This was my first attempt at these little nests but I'm sure they'll be popping up on my cards again - I LOVE them! I added a twist of wire to the top of the circle too - just to balance things off!

I also used some of my Magnolia DooHickey dies to create the central flower, the leaves and the paper lace - these are from Tickled Pink Stamps. My DP is from Memory Box and the ticket is a digi stamp from Bizzy Bec's Digi Downloads.

I'm sure the rest of the MDUC DT gals have some fabulous inspiration for you too - and how fun to find new ways to embellish our creations. I know I'll be picking up a few tips from the other girls! Check out the rest of the DT's work on our blog HERE and we hope you join in the fun!

A Bit Of Exciting News!

Check out this new badge I have - woohooo - I'm sooo excited! Earlier this week I got an email from Irina Blount (LLLC Owner) asking if I would be interested in a Guest DT spot with La-La Land Crafts - how could I refuse!!! I LOVE these new images Irina is producing - in fact I was super excited to get some of my very own stamps last week from Australia's first retail outlet stocking La-La's - my favourite Aussie store Tickled Pink Stamps! It's GREAT to have these cuties in our neighbourhood AND now to be invited onto the LLLC DT - wow - it's like it's meant to be! Of course for those non-Aussies these cuties are available from the La-La Land Store HERE.

This is my very first card for LLLC - and I have to thank my gorgeous friend Lisa for letting me stamp Birthday Marci off and colour her in while I was visiting her in Los Angeles - it was sooo much fun crafting with my good blog buddy after all this time just chatting via cyberspace!!! It's GREAT to finally put Marci on a card! Look at that sweeeeeet face! And these cuties are an absolute DREAM to colour too.

My DPs are by Pink Paislee and my nesties were well loved too - LOL. The little tassle is from Cristina Re and the border punch is from Martha Stewart! When I see the products I've used it makes me soo thankful for my ever supportive hubby who suffers my shopping addiction with a stoic sense of humour - LOL.

If I haven't convinced you yet how adorable these guys are you should check out some of the LLLC DTs work on our blog HERE. They are fabulously talented and I'm glad to be working with them for the next few months!

Tickled Pink Stamps Christmas Cherrie Preview

Another fabulous Christmas preview for you all - this time from Tickled Pink Stamps. Cherrie is back in 3 fabulous Christmas poses ready to put the CUTE into Christmas. This is Cherrie with Lights. She and the other Christmas Cherries will be released for sale on Sunday, November 7th.

Now knowing the generosity of da Boss Lady - I'm sure she has a chance for some lucky person to win Cherrie - you'll find ALL the details on our blog HERE. And while you're there don't forget to see what some of the other talented TPS DT have done with Cherrie - it always amazes me how one image can look soooo amazing in sooooo many different ways.

For the lights here I covered them with glitter first and then some crystal effects to make them look more like proper lights - I think I pulled it off - LOL. I'm not sure where the DP is from - it was amongst the scraps in my "Christmas DP Box". The wire hearts I bought at Tickled Pink Stamps a long time ago and the glitter trees are from EK Success.

Hope you can join the gals over at the Tickled Pink Stamps Blog  tomorrow and Saturday for the rest of the Christmas Cherrie previews and prize offers.

Merry Betty from Simply Betty Stamps

YAY - Today is day one of previews for the Christmas Emos from Simply Betty Stamps. This cutie is Merry Betty and I've used one of my favourite Christmas colour combos - blue and silver. I glittered up all of the "fluff" on Merry Betty's outfit for some Christmas sparkle and think she's looking mighty cute in her little Mrs. Claus suit.

After I had my DP and layout sorted out I thought it needed a bit of a pop though - so I went with the black borders - inspired by my blogging friend the oh so talented Kylie K who uses black sooo beautifully! And after all - Emos do NEED a bit of an edge don't they - LOL.

There are some fabulous projects by the rest of the DT over at the Simply Betty Stamps Blog HERE and pop back tomorrow for another preview.

I LOVE Christmas - it's MY time of the year.

Just INKlined DT Blog Hop

I can't believe it's November already - where has the year gone!!! But since it's the first Monday of the month it must be time for the Just INKlined monthly DT Blog Hop - woohooooo.

You should have arrived here from Lydia's blog - but if you didn't, head back over there as she's starting us off this month.

This month our challenge is to use punches - use at least 2 different ones. Considering I have 5 draws full of punches I figured this challenge shouldn't be too hard - LOL. I ended up using 5 different punches here  - MS border snowflake punch (and the little snowflakes that I punched out were used too), MS corner snowflake punch, corner rounder punch, SU 1 3/8" circle punch and SU scallop punch.

I have raised each layer from the one below it after the blue layer to add in some extra dimension. the sentiment is from Magnolia. The image I used is one of Just INKlined's gorgeous Christmas scenes called Little Church in the Snow - and you can find it HERE. There's quite a bit of glitter to sparkle up the snow - it's sooo pretty IRL!

Your next stop on the hop is Jak's blog. If you get lost along the way all of the blogs are linked on my sidebar under the Just INKlined logo - and here's the hop order....

Lydia, Debbie (ME), Jak, Peri, Cathy, Toni, Joyce, Karen

Tickled Pink Stamps Preview - Wilfred Wombat

Meet Wilfred the Wombat - he'll be available for purchase from tomorrow over at Tickled Pink Stamps. And how exciting for us to have an Aussie Animal from our favourite Aussie store!

I decided to make something a little different - a lumiere. If you'd like to know HOW I made this you'll have to wait until Wednesday when my tutorial will be published on the Tickled Pink Stamps blog - it's really NOT hard and I'd LOVE to know if anyone else makes one! I wanted to keep the Aussie flavour going so I borrowed a gum blossom stamp from a friend of mine for the top corner - this stamp is from Fern Gully Stamps. My one regret is that I should have trimmed the white out between Wilfred and the tree - but I realised that too late! Ah well - live and learn!

And here he is all lit up....

Now don't forget to pop over to the TPS blog and see what some of the other DT gals have done with Wilfred - and I know there will be a chance to win this cutie too!
