A Card For Daniel

This card is heading all the way over to England to help make a young man's day! Daniel is turning 13 in November and is on the Autism Spectrum. He has trouble socialising so doesn't have birthday parties. Instead his gorgeous mum Claire asks fellow cardmakers to send him a card because he LOVES to open them up and study them, making his birthday a little bit special for him. You can read more about Daniel HERE on Claire's blog Crafty C's Crafting Library.

Claire wrote that Daniel loves dinosaurs - so I thought this guy from Dustin Pike would be perfect! My nephew is also on the Autism spectrum so I have used his love of anything red and texture to help me out here - I hope Daniel likes them too! I used a lunch bag and some layering to make it look like dino here really WAS peeking through the card to find Daniel - LOL. I've also used a glaze pen on his eyes to add a bit of a shine - and somehow a touch of birthday glitter got mixed in too - maybe I should clean my desk - LOL.

Happy 13th Birthday Daniel!

xXx
