Magnolia Down Under Challenge #21 - A Card Recipe

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges Kellie has set us a Card Recipe to use. We need to include 1 flower, 2 ribbons, 3 brads and 4 colours/papers. I've gone back to a watercoloured Tilda this week - mainly because she was already coloured up and I haven't been well - how slack!!! I'm glad she came out to play though as I'm really happy with how she turned out and reminded me why I like watercolouring! I did cheat a little on the 2 ribbons though - I counted the one in her hair!

Here's what I used - 1 layered flower, 2 ribboons - in her hair and Riding Hood Red Taffeta, 3 SU rhinestone brads and 4 Papers - Bashful Blue Card base, Riding Hood Red Layer, Watercolour Paper and both sides of some Washington Apple DP. I also used some Crystal Effects on the balloons and Tilda's ribbon and boots, as well as some Stickles on Tilda's wings.

Don't forget to pop over to MDUC and see what the other DT members have come up with - and hopefully be inspired to give it a go yourself!!!

I'd also like to thank everyone for their get well wishes - it was heart warming and better than a cold and flu tablet!!!! Love you guys!

xXx

Hey Debbie, love your card - you and I must be tuned into each other as I used the same idea with the top R/H corner on mine too!
(I hadn't seen your card until just now when I looked at the MDUC site.)

I love the way you've used that DS paper - it's such a bold pattern I've been a bit wary in using it.

The balloons look fabulous, as does the whole card. Lovely work!!

My goodness, I hope you are feeling better, that was a bad one huh?
Well, you can't tell you felt bad by this cute card. I would have a hard time with the 4 color thing I think. Your watercoloring is so fabby, I LOVE it! Very nice layout too.
I thought of you today...my hubby sent me a cute email of koala bears in Australia try to get water from bikers and houses. They are the cutest pictures ever! Did any come to your house? They said it was 120 degrees and they were just too hot. ha ha!!! I guess this was last summer. Hugs, Dena

Hey Debbie, in spite of being under the weather, you've created a beautiful card. Love the colours and always your colouring is fantastic (both in markers and watercolours). I do study you cards, you know. Trying to figure out how to do those highlights now.

Hugs.
