Magnolia Down Under Challenge #19 - Winter

It's Winter here in Australia and that's the theme for this week's challenge over at Magnolia Down Under. I've come up with a fairly simple scene to set my skating Tilda. My daughter is a figure skater so this image was a "must have" in my Magnolia collection. The DP is from SU's Ski Slope series - I LOVE this series!!! It will be available from August 1st here in Australia in the Spring Mini. The trees and snowflakes in the background are from a retired SU set called Trees Three. I've used white EP for the snowflakes. I also added some snow in the trees with my white gel pen and Dazzling Diamonds. The "ice rink" also have Dazzling Diamonds on for extra bling. The sentiment is from Warm Words and just seemed to fir the sparkle of the card.

Most of us are counting down to Spring now, it start September 1st here - the tree in front of the house opposite has started to bloom - it's always early but it signals the beginning of the end of Winter.

Hope you can have a little bit of Winter fun using stamps, cardstock and some embellishments to join in the fun at MDUC too...

xXx

Love your little skater Debbie! That DP is awesome! Looks like that will go to the top of my wish list! Love the dazzle you added to the ice and the trees. We have been having a cooler than normal July here in Wisconsin which is simply fine with me. Wish it would continue into August as that is usually our hot and humid month with temps up in the 90's.

It's been a beautiful winters day here in, Adelaide!
The sun was out, the sky was blue but it still was a little chilly. I love winter but I am looking forward to spring to warm things up a bit lol!
Have a wonderful week!

Love the card Debbie, I haven't been blogging recently so I'm trying to catch up, had a look at all your cards, wow you have been busy, and as usual they are all stunning. A belated Happy Birthday to you, sorry I missed it and I hope you have fully recovered from the food poisoning and congratulations on your DT position.

Take care

This is SO lovely! The scene you've created is pure sweetness. I wish it was winter here in Vancouver BC, LOL. We're having a heat wave. Perfect card to cool me off though. ;o) It's just gorgeous!

A beautiful card, Debbie... down to the smallest detail. The scene you built is perfect! I love the extra "sparkle," too.

Spring is coming to you in about a month, eh? It is so hard to believe here, where temps are in the 90's most of the day, and that's cooler than normal! Me, I'm counting the days until autumn weather kicks in... for us, that will be late October.

Hugs, my friend. I'm thinking of you.

Debbie, love your scene card. Just got this stamp last week!! Stunning card. That is one gorgeous DP. I like the snow you added to the trees--I never thought to use gel pen--thanks for the tip. I can use just a bit of winter temperature here--we're going through a heat wave.

Hugs.
