Meet The Snowmuns

Meet the Snowmuns from Just INKlined. They are a fun little family of snowpeople with their little snowpup getting ready for their annual family portrait - you can find them for purchase HERE. Without needing too much colour to bring them to life you end up with a fairly quick card - I need a few of these to get my Christmas card stash growing - LOL.

I simply cut the family out and popped them on an embossed background with some ribbon and a strip of glittered up icicles I cut using my MS punch. Add a bow, charm and sentiment to the ribbon strip and a large poinsettia in the top corner and you are done!

On The Sixth Day of Halloween......

On the 6th day of Halloween my ghoul love gave to me, six Jack-o-Lanterns!

I used Mo Manning's adorable Halloween image Pirate Kai - available HERE. He's sooo cute hugging his toy parrot and waiting for some goodies in his jack-o-lantern bucket. I paired him with some DP from K&Company and a sentiment from the Tickled Pink Stamps Going Batty digi set.

Punky Teens Christmas Blog Hop from Simply Betty Stamps

Hello all you Simply Betty Stamps fans! Welcome to our Punky Teens Christmas blog hop release! For my card I've used the adorable Trixie. I figured the Punky Teens were a little non traditional so I'd use some non traditional colours with her. Not a very "punky" colour combo I know - but at least you can see these guys can do cute too - LOL. My DP is from Memory Box - the Gossamer range. The swirl was cut using my Magnolia DooHickey die. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Mollie Mittens From Tickled Pink Stamps

If you're a follower of the Tickled Pink Stamps blog you would have seen the previews of our newest kitten on the block - Mollie Mittens. Today is the last day of previews and we're finishing off with Mollie getting all geared up for Christmas - isn't she just adorable?!?!?!?!

I decided to dress her in blue for a bit of a change - but there's plenty of the traditional Christmas red and green on the card too - and lots of sparkle!!!

Get Your Christmas Stocking Out!

I can't believe it's less than 11 weeks to Christmas - how scary! It made me realise I really should get on with making some more Christmas cards. I've used Santa's Helpers from Mo Manning on this one - you can find them in Mo's store HERE. I've had these guys for a while so it was really great to get them all coloured up. I paired them with some funky paper from my stash. The layout started out from a sketch I was following and ended up taking on a life of it's own - I have a habit of working like that - LOL!

The sentiment is a Magnolia stamp with a bit of colour and glitter added to give it some dimension. There's some extra Christmas glitter on the stocking's "fluff" and some rhinestones for pom poms on the elves' hats.

Three Wise Guys from Just INKlined

When I saw this version of the 3 Wise Monkeys from Just INKlined I knew I wanted to have a bit of fun with them. There are soo many versions of the "hear no evil, see no evil speak no evil" saying out there that give a giggle - but I kept this one clean - LOL.

I love Orangutans and these guys with their chubby tummy's are just too cute. When we lived in Singapore my kid's school had a huge fundraiser to have the naming rights and sponsorship of the newest baby orangutan at the zoo - so if you're ever there and see Banjo think of me - he'd be about 9 now - WOW - where did that time go!!!!

Twelve Days of Halloween - Day 4

Ooops - It's been a crazy weekend and I nearly forgot to post my card for the Fourth Day of the Twelve Days of Halloween - that wouldn't have helped anyone out would it - LOL. For all the ongoing information about the competition and prizes check out the Simply Betty Challenges blog HERE. Me and the rest of the gals from  The Burtonesque Dolls are helping out our neighbours with this one in place of our regular challenges.

On the 4th day of Halloween my ghoul love gave to me four crazy Ravens

... incorporate Ravens and this line from Vincent...

"His voice was soft and very slow As he quoted The Raven from Edgar Allen Poe: “and my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted? Nevermore…” "

I used a Memory Box DP and cut a raven on a fence out using my craft robo. I added some texture to the bottom of the fence with one of my Tim Holtz embossing folders. The quote was printed out using my computer and then I just distressed it a little with some ink and my thumbnail. I used the gorgeous boy from the "Sweet and Toxic" set from The Greeting Farm - I liked the fact that he has wings - it ties him in to the theme of birds and ravens!

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #67 - Tag It

Well this week over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we are asking you to "Tag It". This can mean decorating a tag, adding a tag to your card, or anything else you can make work using a tag! I used the Magnolia Doo Hickey Tag die and a luscious pink tassel to add a sentiment to a wedding card. I have glued the tassel in place as you see it so it doesn't flop down over the image.

I'm fairly busy with DT work this month so when my sister recently asked me to make a card for her SILs wedding next month I thought I'd get ahead and make a wedding card for this challenge - I hope she's happy with it!

I love pink, white and kraft together - it's sooo soft and yet still has the contrast. I used my CB embossing folders to add some interest to the base layer. Some platinum stickles add some sparkle to the bride and flower girl's headpieces and flowers. I used small pearls in the bride's hair but they were too big for her necklace - so my liquid pearls came to the rescue. I have used my clear Spica pen over the bridal gown and some star dust stickles on the flowers- this really looks fabulously glittery IRL - perfect for the happy day!

Having seen some of the other DT work for this challenge already I KNOW it's worth your while just checking out the eye candy on offer HERE - and hopefully we can inspire you to play along too!

A Sweet Little Girl From Mo

Doesn't this little gal from Mo Manning just want to melt your heart. Her name is Nelly and you can find her at Mo's store HERE. I wanted a fairly simple layout for her so that she could take centre stage. A few flowers, a doily and some rhinestone flourishes were all that was needed. I didn't bother with a sentiment as I'm going to pop it on the inside.

Hope everyone has an AMAZING weekend - our Spring weather is being nice to us and my son is back playing tennis, so I'm going to be spending a bit of time outside in the fresh air - Yay. I LOVE Spring - and Nelly with her bunch of flowers is just perfect to celebrate the season!
