Nose in Book from Twistoon

I coloured this cutie up a while ago and decided it was time she made it onto a card. This is "Nose in Book" and you can also get a boy version if you prefer.

I created the red scrunched flowers to tie in with her glasses and laces.

I think it's time to do a bit of reading myself now....

Christmas Crackers

I promise this is my last Christmas in July card.....for now ;)

I couldn't resist playing with these cuties from Twistoon Digi Stamps - and they come in a set of 4! It was supposed to only be 3 images but one of the boys lost his beard in the "cracked" image set so now you can choose if you want him beardless or not. You can find the Stan and George Cracker set HERE
I created a slimline card and added a little explosion to the background - those boys do love to do things to the extreme ;)

Toyshop Helper by Mo Manning

This adorable little guy is called Toyshop Helper and I may have had him coloured up for a while just waiting for the right time to post and luckily I can use Christmas in July to justify posting him now. That cheeky little face is just so sweet!

I hope you like him, and until next time...

Christmas in July with Twistoon Digi Stamps

It's always a bit of fun to create card for Christmas in July for me given Christmas is my favourite time of the year! Here are a couple I did using images from Twistoon Stamps.

This first one uses one of Lisa's adorable Gnomes - this is "George Christmas Tree" and you can find him HERE. The word dies I used are from La-La Land Crafts.

This fun lovin' gal is called "Wreath Head" and you can find her HERE. I wish you could see how sparkly this is IRL with her glittered stockings and trees, and the sparkly baubles.

Let's hope we can all feel a little festive and sparkly this July.

The World Needs a Hug

This gorgeous image is called "Hug" and is by Mo Manning. It really spoke to me because with the way the world is at the moment I think we could all do with a hug, especially after the last couple of years dealing with Covid and all that has taken away from us all! But this isn't just about the pandemic. The colours I used are important - they pay homage to Ukraine as well as to the BLM movement. Let's not forget that these are children depicted and with the recent school massacre in Uvalde I want to honour the victims there too.

I don't usually use my craft to showcase global issues - but there comes a time where you need to get the feelings out in any way you can!

BIG HUGS everyone

Bad Alice from Mo Manning

This little cutie is Bad Alice from Mo Manning. I just love the look on her face and the sad posture of the White Rabbit - I'm sure they're just making friends!!!!

I've printed her onto some layered up digital papers and added her "The End" sentiment onto it too. I couloured her up with Copics, using almost traditional colours - the black details just seemed to suit this version of her. I then popped her on a card base with some flowers.

Hope you like her as much as I do

George's Coffee from Twistoon Stamps

What can I say - I love Lisa's (Twistoon) gnomes and I love a good cup of coffee - not sure if I would quite go to the same extent as George though - but there have been days........

This is George Coffee Ploof Gnome and I have had him sitting on my desk to colour up for ages so today was the day! I decided to make a tag, then the tag became the centerpiece for a card - LOL. I love creating on the go - I never know WHAT I'll end up with!

Mae from Mo Manning

This little cutie is Mae and she's one of the newer images from Mo Manning. She reminds me of my great niece Paige - all cheeky little girl with lots of tomboy thrown in. I decided to colour her up in pinks and added some free-form roses to her white pants. If she's anything like Paige those pants won't be white for long though!

The sentiment is what inspired this image and it HAD to feature in my card. Add a little spider with pink eyes and a digi paper background and this all came together quickly.

Mo Manning's Dwarf 6

When my hubby asked me to make a card for his mate's 60th birthday for some reason I thought of this guy, it may or may not be because the guys do love to share a brew while telling stories from the golf course. This is Mo Manning's Dwarf 6.

I decided to create a cheeky background sentiment along the lines of the "glass half full" expression. I then used a brick stencil and some texture paste to give the image a spot to sit on the card. A label making sure everyone knows the birthday boy is turning 60 was the finishing touch.

Peek-a-Boo Lulu from Twistoon Stamps

This is Peek-a-Boo Lulu from Twistoon Stamps. I've had her printed off for a while now so it was time to colour her up and pop her on a card. I do love Lisa's quirky images and I often think seeing them just as black and white line drawings don't do them any justice! You can find her instore HERE.
