This week in La-La Land the DT have been given an "Anything Goes" challenge. I have to say I find these challenges the worst as I have no starting place to work from. I fluff around trying to come up with something and change my mind at least a dozen times. I had NO IDEA what this was going to be until it was almost done - LOL.
I started with an image (changed several times) and some funky paper to go with it (shame I covered most of it up!). As you can see I ended up with a mini easel card - I love playing with sizes and scale doing these. The flower is a ribbon flower I made.

This month at Aurora Wings Challenges we are using the cutest range of images from Aurora Wings - we are using the Sprites for our Sprite Delight challenge.
I have used the ADORABLE Cherry Blossom Sprite. She reminds me of our days living in The US when the cherry blossoms were in bloom in Washington. And I have a cherry blossom tree in my front garden which always blooms at the start of Spring - my favourite of all the seasons!

Please meet Beach Babe Marci. Oh how I wish I could be her right now - it looks lovely and warm where she is and that ice-cream looks totally YUMMY! I've had some fun with paper piecing and bright colours with this one.

The Aurora Wings DT decided to have a special showcase using the gorgeous Marie Antoinette on the Aurora Wings Showcase Blog. You just HAVE to go over and see the amazing takes on this stunning image - from a Zombie version to classic pastels or rich, deep tones.
There is also an open call for designers for the showcase blog HERE if you want a chance to play with these incredible images.
For my version I printed her out onto some Bearly Mine Designs digi paper leaving the colouring area white. I reprinted the same paper on a larger scale for my card base too. This one has a gorgeous lace border detail so I had to make sure it was sized just right so I wouldn't have to cut any off. I've done this a lot lately and am loving the results.
This week in La-La Land we are using Pins and Pearls. I have been seeing a lot of versions of the "Let it Go" song from the Disney movie "Frozen" and thought it was time the La-La Landers got to hear their own version as sung by the gorgeous Miss Marci LOL. After paper piecing parts of Marci's dress and headband I smothered them with sparkle using my clear Wink of Stella. It's a bit hard to see in the photos but it looks so pretty IRL. This song gets in your head - even when you are just using it as inspiration for a project ;)

I was very excited to be asked to help out with the introduction of a fabulous new line of stamps by Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I have used 2 of the six new images in the Fearless Fairy Tales range. For both of my cards I used a digi paper for the background and masked the image onto it leaving the colouring area white.
For my Little Mermaid card I also used the digi paper to cover a sheet of white card before printing it off and cutting a step fold card out of it. It ties everything together beautifully.
And here's my second card - Cinderella with a bit more attitude than we've come to know LOL.....

This week in La-La Land we are going monochromatic. I have to admit to having a little bit of a giggle as I was colouring Marci up in the blue/green range of copics. She kinda looked like a smurf who was a little ill and turning green - or maybe that's just my warped sense of humour LOL. I have used my Sakura glitter pen over the key but it's lush sparkle hasn't shown up so well in the picture.

I am based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. I have been married to my wonderful husband for many many years (I was a child bride - LOL) and we have 2 gorgeous, but cheeky, children together - a daughter and a son.
