A few weeks ago a very talented crafting friend of mine - Canadian Nickel Scrap'n - posted a photo of her Christmas place settings HERE. That was it - I was out the door and heading off to order the Tim Holtz Rustic Lantern die to make my own. And then Nicole posted her amazing lantern garland HERE and I was doubly glad I had bought this die - although making that one will be a job for 2014!

The Holly and Berries were cut using my Silhouette Cameo - from a file from their store - the 3D Holly Gift Card Box. I have also made the boxes for gifts that these came attached too but they also work on other things :) . I added some gold stickles to the lanterns "switch" and inked the edges too. A twine bow and a name label and they were done. The first one took the longest - once I had my production line going I sailed through the rest.
And on that note I want to wish ALL of my followers a
VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS
and a
SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Merry XMas and a Happy New 2014
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! Great idea on the wee box. I thought about doing the same thing but I got lazy! These are so pretty and I'm so excited you found that die! I know of a couple other people making these! And they sold out at the store I teach at when I dropped one off for display. Please take a phot of your table when these are on it. I'm dying to see. Beautiful job!!!!
