Tickled Pink Stamps is Sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is proudly sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge where the theme is "Not too Shabby - shabby chic or vintage style" . I'm quite happy how this turned out as it's not my usual style.

We hope you head on over and join in all the fun. and you'll have a chance to win some Tickled Pink digis too.

Mo's Carolina

Recently I was making a carrot cake at home and later that day I saw this new image from Mo Manning - this is Carolina and she's just ADORABLE! It made me think that I could make a card to go with another cake to give to a friend who's moving home. I'll be attaching the recipe inside as well as wishing them all the best for their new place.

Remember if you need more inspiration Mo's DT regularly add projects to Mo's Dream Team blog HERE

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #147

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we are asking you to "make your own embellisments". For me the decision of what to make was easy - I love the look of rolled flowers and really don't make them enough! I used some of the pink and white check Magnolia DP for my flowers so they  blend in beautifully with the rest of my layout - and the check gives them a fabulous look too.

Just a hint - after I coloured up Tilda's dress I thought it was a little too bright - so I went over it with my W00 to tone it down just a little - an easy trick but it made all the difference.

To see what the rest of the MDUC DT have come up with to inspire you check out our blog HERE.

Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop

It's time for another Mo's Dream Team Blog Hop and this month our fabulous Hostess with the Mostest is Alice who has challenged us to be "Pretty in Pink". Alice's Blog is the start of the hop if you want to begin at the very beginning.

Pink is such a soft and feminine colour and often associated with little girls. Mo has some gorgeous little girls images to play with and I chose to use Lacie - and pink certainly suits her right down to her strawberry ice-cream cone and sunglasses.

Now it's time for you to head one over to marvelous Mina's Blog where I'm sure there is a pink confection just waiting to delight. And here's the full hop list - you'll find the links on my left sidebar under Mo's logo.

Alice, Debbie {ME}, Mina, Pops, Jak, Gretha, Kerttu, Jane, Julie, Debby.Y, Heidy

Copics used - Skintones (R20, R11, E11, E00, E000) plus  RV66, RV63, RV55, RV10, RV000, RV0000, E49, E29, E18, E17, E15, E13, G28, G24, G21, G20, Y23, Y00, B0000

Something New From Make it Crafty

When Zoe showed us what she had been up to for Make it Crafty I knew what my next project was going to be - isn't this Ferris Wheel AMAZING - and it comes completely flat packed in a kit with full directions and photos! I was a bit worried I wouldn't be able to put it together after some catastrophes with flat pack kits from IKEA - but there are no allen keys here - just glue and FUN! Finished it stands just shy of 9 1/2 inches high FYI.

I had all sorts of ideas how to decorate this - but it's such an amazing construction that I wanted it to stay the star. AND you have to keep lots of areas clear as it can actually MOVE around!!! I used some Prima DP to cover the base, wheel, stands, and the chair seats, footrests and awnings. Zoe very kindly emailed me the SVG file for the wheel so I could cut the DP easily using my Cameo - and this file WILL be available as a download - along with a few extras Zoe has decided to add. A little bit of lace hung from the awnings have added a whimsical touch. I painted many of the parts in antique white - but it's not a perfect cover and it adds to the shabby chic feel I was after.

On the back is a handle which easily turns the wheel and the little chairs swing on their axles - even my hubby wanted to get into the act and get it moving - LOL. The chairs in my photo don't look like they're hanging straight because they were still swinging away when I took the pic - LOL.

I knew the new Frenchie images would suit the wheel perfectly - with their oversize ice creams they just SHOUT out carnival and fun! I added a rhinestone flourish to the wheel stand and some rhinestones around the wheel in place of the fairy lights that usually adorn ferris wheels.

Ferris Wheel Kit is available HERE

Tickled Pink Stamps is Sponsoring Divas by Design

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is also sponsoring Diva's by Design Challenges where the challenge is one close to our heart - "Tickled Pink - use LOTS of Pink".

For my card I decided to use Lil Little Lolita Willow. I decided to give this funky little gal pink hair instead of pink clothes - and this week's fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday suited her perfectly as it was just a little quirky with all of it's fabulous angles.

We hope you head on over to play for a chance to win some Tickled Pink digis.

Tickled Pink Stamps is Sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge

Even with Kellie's decision re Tickled Pink Stamps the Pink Ladies will still be popping in to inspire you with our takes on the challenges we will be sponsoring over the coming months. We have a fabulously dedicated team of gals who LOVE to work with TPS and are happily staying on to play.

This week Tickled Pink Stamps is proudly sponsoring The Corrosive Challenge where the theme is "Flowers and Doilies and Bling - Oh My!" (use at least 2 of the 3) . I used Lil Greek Goddess Aphrodite Willow on my card and found a fabulous doily DP to use, then popped that onto a square doily - I think I covered THAT embellishments LOL. Of course flowers are one of my favourite things to add so they had to be there too. A few blue rhinestones and some glitter on the hearts and I used all 3 of the challenge items!

We hope you head on over there and join in all the fun and you'll have a chance to win some Tickled Pink digis.

Copics used - Skintones (R20, R11, E11, E00, E000) plus B05, B02, B00, B000, B0000, R29, R24, Y19, Y13, E43, E42, E40, E08

Last But By No Means Least!

I just had to colour up the last of Mo's "3 Baby Fairies" - and by no means did I chose this one last because it was my least favourite - they are ALL just too cute but someone had to be last! It wasn't until I started to colour this up that I noticed the "drink line" in the flower - so I wanted to make sure I gave the petals a transparency to let the colour of the nectar show.

Well I guess it's time to move away from these gorgeous fairies now - but I'm soo glad I got to play with them all because they are magical creatures and helped me to find some mojo again - LOL.

Copics used - Skintones (R20, R11, E11, E00, E000) plus E02, B02, B00, B000, B0000, Y19, Y11, Y08, Y00, YR16, G28, G24, C00, E44, E43, E42, E40

For my card I used Christmas Pinkette Audrey - if you look you may notice she looks like the one coloured up for the store - well the truth is she IS - I had her sitting in my box of coloured images and decided it was time she came out for a play! Magnolia Down Under Challenge #145

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenge our challenge is to use "more than one fold". I chose to make a gate fold card because there is plenty of space inside for lots of people to write a greeting - and this card has been made for a group of us to give away.

To take the photo of the inside of my card I used re-positional glue to hold the sections in place. But I will be removing them for signing on to make it easier - before sticking down permanently before we give it away.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the inspiration from the amazing MDUC DT on our BLOG - and come along and join in the fun.

EDIT - I have been asked what I used to make the flourishes - the top right corner is a Memory Box die and in the bottom left corner I used a Magnolia die.

Copics used - Skintones (R20, R11, E11, E00, E000) plus RV66, RV63, RV00, 100, C8, C7, C5, C3, C0, C00, G28, G24, E15, E13, Y23, Y21

The hop will finish on Sunday 6th Aussie time and winners will be announced Monday. And while you're over at our NEW STORE BLOG don't forget to subscribe via the 'Subscribe via Email' link to make sure you ALWAYS hear about new releases, blog candies and get to check the amazing inspiration and tutorials from our DT.

I love seahorses so decided to make the two in the set the focus of my card. They looked like a young couple in love when I layered them together so I decided to go with that as my theme - this could work as an engagement card or an anniversary card. I "fancy cut" the DP along the top so my sentiment is hidden there. I just keep giggling when I think how those bubbles must be tickling her nose - LOL.

Make it Crafty products used...
Digi stamps - Cute Seahorse and Chubby Seahorse
Lasercut Chipboard - Round Leaves

Now here's the hop list so you can figure out where you are, where you're heading or where you haven't been!

Are There Fairies in Your Garden?

I wanted to show you a little trick to getting a "ready made" background for your image. Make it Crafty's digi stamps come in a png. format which has the background removed. This means you can layer them onto a digi paper background BEFORE printing off and the colouring areas will remain white - see the example on the left where I'm moving the image into position. This is different to when I  paper pieced using a digital paper in THIS post - in that case I printed the paper off first and then popped it through the printer to print the digi off.

I hope you have some fun playing with this technique and exploring more fun ways to use your digis.

Make It Crafty products used...
Digi Stamps - Whimsical Mushroom, Vixie
Chipboard - Fancy Ribbon Sliders, small butterfly from Fine Swirls

Digi Paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and DP is from Bo Bunny
